Our husband, father and papa, Chuck Herb, was diagnosed on April 22, 2016 with Stage IV lung cancer that has metastasized to his liver. I know nothing about cancer. Well, except that it sucks. But I do know that knowledge is power. And that sharing our story with family and friends has been both painful and healing. So, with the support of my dad, mom and sister, I created this blog as a way to keep our loved ones up-to-date on our journey.

As a family, we have chosen to learn to live with cancer and attack it by all means necessary, through both conventional and non-conventional methods and by living our life the best way we know how – together and to the fullest. So while our life, and ultimately this blog, is centered around that damn C-word, we want you to also see the beauty that’s behind it all.
